Arctic Cat Top Speed 25 MPH
#1
I have 2005 Arctic Cat that will not get over 25MPH. I recently had the valves adjusted and had a solid red belt light. Belt light reset but still have the same speed issues. I need advice.

Take the belt cover off and make sure the Secondary and Primary are working right like in video.
If the motor has high rpm and the clutches and working right the ATV has to go.
Even a AC 150 goes well over 25mph.

If its a 2005 and the belt has never been changed, its definitely time for a new belt. A worn out belt will kill your power but until it breaks can still be ridden. It will be very sluggish and slow though. That light coming on I assume detects belt slippage of some sort so it was trying to tell you that the belt is probably used up.

There are 2 separate threads covering the same issue. So far though white hasn't said there has been and resolution.
