Default Wheel Spacers

Hey guys I just have a quick question. My dad got new tire for his 2005 Polaris sportsman 700 EFI. The tires are a little wider than the stock tires, so they rub on the front. I found a set of 1" wheel spacers on Royal distributing. Can you only use spacers on the front? or are you supposed to space all 4 wheels evenly? Thanks for any input!

While you don't have to use them on both the front and back it's probably better to do all of them if you can swing the cost. That way the fronts and backs run in roughly the same track. I take it you're talking about the new tires rubbing the tie rod ends. Another way to do it is add enough hardened washers to give the tires enough clearance. I had a 2006 Polaris Sportsman X2 500 and added these to make sure there was enough grip of the nuts on the threads.

Go with the smallest spacer you can put in to eliminate the rubbing. You will notice the steering will get slightly stiffer the farther out you go and you will loose turning radius. I took mine off because of this. Spacers front and rear to keep your tracking close to the same as stock. I would not recommend using washers to space out your tires this creates to much stress on the studs. If its just the inner lug of the tire rubbing you could trim that lug down slightly.
