Hey guys!
Ive got a Sportsman that is having issues cranking. Im thinking it might be the carb because it tries to crank but just wont turn over. I am off at college the majority of the time an not able to crank it regularly, but I am trying to get into hunting and will need it this season. Any ideas on how to keep the carb clean so it cranks automatically? Also, does anyone know how to clean one of the carbs that can post a helpful step-by-step video of it?

Would i be better off getting rid of it and getting a fuel injected model?

 

Put a battery tender on it after you replace the battery. These Fuji engines are legendary cold starters. Mine has never let me down, I have 3,300 miles on my 2012 400ho.

Id drain the fuel bowl too, and change the spark plug. I put an NGK Iridium in mine this summer, fires up even faster.

How does the air filter look?

 

I hate to say this but I am very ignorant when it comes to engines and related matters (meaning i dont know very much). I am in the process of trying to teach myself about all of it.
So if I do these things, will it be as quick of a start up as a fuel injected one?
