Good evening everyone ..
i have this issue with my 2004 350 Raptor...it wont rev over 5k rpms and it backfires.It starts fine even when its cold, i cleanned the carburator and adjust the valves recently and it's got a brand new spark plug plus new battery
any suggetions?

has it always done this? Sounds like a factory rev limitor

 

No it's started recently as I was riding... Anyways thanks for your answer.. I will take a second look at it

 

I suppose it has to do with the valve adjustments you made. I have had that happen before after adjusting valves on different engines.
