I bought a used ATV. Owner insisted that it ran great and needed nothing. I took it for a test drive and decided to buy it. When I got home I literally put on one or two miles and the engine started knocking. What are my chances of returning this machine through Court?

 

Do you have any paperwork describing the condition when you bought it? That's the only I can think of right off hand that could help. I assume you already tried taking it back and they wouldn't.

 

The only thing i have from him was a bill of sale. Thats it.

 

You are hosed. What condition is the unit in otherwise? Hours or miles on it?

 

Has about 1800 miles. Other than that its in good shape

 

sorry about your experience i too was hosed by a man in fort frances ont. when i bought a snowmobile that was flawless never got a single ride. Called him to no help. The province of ontario allows car dealerships to rip one off with a simple bill of sale that traps you to sign and not know. I called the BBB and nothing so Fraud in ontario is legal. think i will set up a dealership.
