400ex will probably be the most reliable sport quad you can buy. Plenty of power and speed for most and there are tons of them available on the used market. Tons of aftermarket goodies available too if you want to accessorize.

The ones I was looking at lastnight were 2007

 

Get a Honda 400ex. They are low maintenance quads with quite a bit of power (more than a buster or warrior) and they have a ton of available mods if wanted.

 

Are they pretty loud? My blaster is loud as hell!!

 

Stock, no. They are fairly quiet for a quad. If you want to make it loud, throw on almost any aftermarket exhaust. Full HMF exhaust is the loudest and best but very expensive

 

X2 They aren't bad at all noise-wise.

My neighbor I ride with has a 400ex and does pretty good on the trails we ride. I think he paid around 2k for it. Very reliable machine so far, has had it for about 2 years now.
