Now you finally have an excuse to take a little break from working so hard on the forum. I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear you survived...and welcome to the club of us old farts with heart issues. Had my heart attack last summer on july 5th the day after we went out on the lake to watch the fireworks. Felt a little weird winching the boat up on the trailer, next day felt even more weird so wife called 911. On the 7th of july had a triple bypass and doing very well know. With modern science you will be up and around in no time...just be sure to follow the doc's orders to the letter!! We are all waiting to hear more of your great knowledge and expertise!!

OPT, you're tougher than the guys in my family were. My dad, some uncles, and a cousin all had a heart attack. One heart attack. Period. End of story. None of them were around to have a second one.

I'm taking an 81mg aspirin twice a day* on a cardiologist's advice. My current primary doctor told me to just take one a day, but I'm still taking one when I get up and another before I go to bed. I figure the cardiologist knew what he was talking about, but that was years and years ago. I don't know what they would say now.

* Two different aspirins. Not the same one twice. You have to be specific with some people. Most of my prescriptions say to take one pill by mouth. Well, how else did they think I was going to take my pills? Are people sticking them in their ears? Up their nose? Some other bodily orifice? Someone must be, or they wouldn't have to put it on the label.
