I bit the bullet and purchased the Black Dragon ignition kit for a 1999 Lem. I installed it exactly as instructed even though the instructions left a little bit to be desired. I did all the checks that was recommended. Still no spark. Has anyone had as similar experience? I've emailed the company but no response.

Thank you for that explanation. I tested the resistance for the primary and got about 45 Ohms which would be away off. For the secondary it seemed about 21 kilo ohms. My guess then would be that the coil is defective. I replaced the ignition system because I had not been getting a spark and the conclusion there was that the original coil was defective. With the Black dragon, the entire wiring harness is replaced so I thought that would solve the original problem

 

This is an awkward situation. After testing my coil, I called the company to explain what I believed to be the problem. They asked me to return it so that they could test it themselves. This I did on the 4th of June but kept the flywheel as I do not believe this to be a problem. Since then I have heard nothing. I have called but only get a garbled reception. Emails are not answered. I have offered to pay for the return but still no reply. so I am in a real predicament. I would purchase a new coil if that is the problem. Meanwhile I have no ATV.
