1998 Sportsman 500 ignition switch wiring problems
Hello everyone. I've been a long time reader of these forums in the shadows. Well this specific problem I'm having I can't seem to find exactly the help I'm looking for. So I have a 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500. Earlier this week I took the entire body off of her and pulled the gas tank and cleaned it well changed the oil, cleaned everything. Well dummy me decided I'd clean all of the contacts under my headlight pod. I took pictures to remember where everything went, but can't see exactly how the ignition switch is wired.
Now, my old roommates cousin jacked up my factory ignition switch after me and my roommate had a falling out and I left my fourwheeler there for a few days. I ordered one online and got a friend to hook it up. He hooked it up with female connectors, as I don't have a harness. The only problem is the color wires from the ignition switch I have no idea where they go.
The colors are: Red, Brown, Black, and Black/White. And I don't have a black and white section of prongs under my headlight pod. I took a picture of the ignition switch. Any help would be appreciated. I've been pull starting her to move her around through the cleaning process. I accidentally was going to unhook the selenoid nuts and my socket touched both poles and she fired up on me and scared the hell out of me. Lol. Thanks in advance guys.

Red is main power wire, black ties into the kill circuit(left control switch and cdi both have black wires) Brown is ground, black /white wire ties into the small wire on he solenoid that triggers the starter motor. If you need more info than that, here's a manual link with wiring schematic. http://visit.tradebit.com/visit.php/...75/264163430/9
