I've never seen either on on the trails but I mainly ride 50" maximum width trails. I've seen more RZRs than all other side by sides combined. Now that I think about it, I don't even know where any Honda dealers are. Yamaha doesn't like to publish their horsepower numbers but it looks like Honda's 999cc twin has a lot more power than Yamaha's 686cc single. A few years ago someone said the Viking had about 47 or 49 HP. I don't know if the 2019 models are more powerful, but I saw where someone said the Pioneer 1000 has 72 HP. The Pioneer 700 on the other hand has almost as much power as my 500 and wouldn't compare well to the Viking.
