Replacement Battery - ATV

Amen....a very short start and run will only add moisture inside the engine, not sure my fan would ever come on in wintertime, so I use 20-30 min run time.

I also like a AGM battery. Like a duracell if I can get one.
With the restrictions, I can't post a place to go and get one.
But if you decide on a AGM battery.
You need to get a AGM charger for it.
And if you leave a charger on it all the time. It will wind up burning the battery up over time.
Charge the battery. with like a 7 amp charger. I chose a Noco charger.
And after its charged. Disconect the power from the quick connect.
set a reminder on our phone.
Go back in a month and charge it again.
This way the charger is not sitting there boiling the battery dry.

Are you sure your talking about the correct battery? What you describe sounds like a lipo battery not agm. My machine came with an agm battery and I use a regular 12v charger/maintainer on it all winter long. My winch uses a great deal of power when plowing snow, so I keep it charged thru the winter. AGM is a glass mat sealed battery and cant have liquid added to it. Lipo batteries "DO" require a special charger or explosion and fire can result!! I use lipo batteries in my R/C toys and care must be used when charging, I have saw first hand just how hot and quickly they burn if not handled properly.

If you check the AGM batteries.
They have like Tape over the top of them.
If they are GEl you may have to do farther research.
I am not allowed to post any Business on here.
So look for a charger that will charge Both Led Acid and AGM batteries.
Go to a store that specializes in Batteries and charging .
They can tell you more.

For a maintainer it does not really matter if its a AGM or Led acid battery. A maintainer charges so slow it will not do any damage..
GEI battery i have yet to see that available for motorsports..
Lipo is the next greatest battery coming out for Motorsports they are light and pack a wallop.. Those you do need a different charger for them

That has a pretty healthy price tag on it...not saying it isnt a good battery but for that price it should be good. I bought a deep cycle 18 ah sealed battery that was made for a wheel chair. The dimensions were right on for what I needed. Used it for 2 years in grandaughters electric Dora atv, then been using it for 3 additional years for my 30 gallon sprayer and as a battery for my electric trolling motor on my pond boat. I keep it on a battery tender when not in use. After 5 plus years still going like new, shipped to my front door for less than 50 bucks. I will be ordering one for my utv when the original wears out. 2015 machine with original sealed agm battery and still going strong. It is also kept on a battery maintainer all thru the winter in between plowing jobs. I also use a maintainer on my boat battery and that is 6yrs old....take care of your batteries and they will last a long time !!!!

Gezz time i got that over to canada with shipping and exchange it would be a $300 battery.. I can buy lipo for half that at my local dealer or go to walmart and buy a good battery for $60 that have been going for years with no issue. I also keep all my battery's on a maintainer except for my new can am. Have not taken the time to hook up the pigtail to the battery yet and unlike all my other machines the 12v port shuts down on the can am...

My 12v port stays active all the time as well, that would be a real pain having to reset the gps each time I turned the engine off! Didnt realize he was in Canada, even though that battery price was stiil really high..Neighbor just bought a big brand name agm battery for his quad, shelled out 90 bucks.. I thought that was a little high...paying for the fancy name I guess.. those battery tenders really help prolong battery life, I have 3 of them for various batteries, keep rotating them around all my batteries for the toys, my UTV has a dedicated battery tender though.

Battery I posted has a 2 yr replacement.
Glad y'all don't have any battery problems.
Last thing I would want is to get out somewhere, and have a battery problem..I just gave nearly 15,000 for my 2019 xp 900.
130.00 for a battery is cheap for me.
All the batteries I been getting from Walmart has been nothing but problems.
last one I got lasted a month.
