Default Suzuki edger 400

I’m working on a Suzuki edger 400 and I can get it to idle smooth.i replaced the carb and still the same.i know the fuel shut off is bad but it should run I figured on prime with the vacuumed line blocked off. If I pull the vaccine line off the shutoff valve and let it run open it runs and idles perfect. As soon as I plug it with my finger it runs like junk.if I plug it up to the valve it pulls fuel in it and really runs bad. What gives? Is it only the valve bad? If I put a restriction on the line it runs bad.

Had a similar issue with my Eiger. The fuel petcock diaphragm was leaking and the vacuum was drawing it into the intake. Ran fine at higher RPMs but like crap at idle. New fuel petcock fixed it right up.

Default Diaphragm vs gravity fed

I’m having issues with a 2003 Suzuki Eiger 400 LTF. Changed out petcock with diaphragm to gravity fed and plugged vacuum. Just not running correctly. Idles great but once the choke is off it dies, or while riding, it stalls. Wondering if it’s just worth buying original petcock would resolve this. Also seeing air bubbles in fuel line. Any advice?
