Hello all. I'm new to the atv world. I've been looking online for a something that's 400 or larger for around 3-3500. The more I look the more questions I have. I'm not into trail riding and such, basically I'm looking for something to use on my property and plow. I told my neighbor what I am looking at and he said that he would only buy Polaris, Yamaha, Honda or Kawaski. Currently, I'm looking at a 2007 Suzuki LT-A400FK7 Eiger with 720 miles for 3k with a plow. It sounds like a fair deal to me, but I don't know what I don't know.
1. Is it a good deal?
2. Am I wasting my money with a Suzuki?
3. How many miles/hours is too many?
4. What type of damage/usage should I look for when inspecting it before purchase?
Thanks again!

Sounds like a fair deal to me... Properly taken care of these machines can easily do 10000-20000 on them before they need a rebuild... normal wear and tear items will get changed out over the years but usually not much more... First thing i would do when looking at it and see how the oil looks... If it looks fairly dirty then i would probably walk as the oil in these machines will stay somewhat clean for more miles than that machine has on it... Check the frame out for damage especially around the plow mount.. Suzuki made a really good product and reliable.. Out of your list above i would eliminate Polaris as everything on them is plastic and they have had issues with frames braking, The rest of the brands you are looking at are good machines if you want a work horse then a Honda is the way to go... They really have not changed over the years and created a rock solid unit just like all their other products. Myself im a can am rider and just picked up a new 500 to go with our 800... Love my 800 but just cannot get comfortable on the 500

Suzuki makes good machines!! There only downfall is replacement parts are very expensive, usually much more then other mfgrs. Close inspection is needed on any used machine..
Keep in mind plowing snow is great but dirt and stone doesnt plow well with an atv. You need serious equipment to plow drt and stone!!
