Air filter protection PLS HELP
#1
I have a 1993 Suzuki lt230 and the guy who owned it before me took out the airbox and put an unprotected air filter that bolts straight onto the carb. Is there any way I could it from getting water splashed on it if I road through a small puddle or if a little piece of mud flew onto it. Would it harm the engine if it got splashed a little? And would a little plash actually go into the engine or would the air filter keep it from going in if it was just a little splash from a puddle. Also would a pre filter work? I don't really know what they do but it seems that it would help protect a little if a piece of mud or water got splashed up into the filter. Its pretty unlikely that any large amounts of anything would even hit the air filter but i don't want my atv to get ruined from riding through a puddle. I'm not gonna be mudding or anything and I don't want to buy a hole air setup because all the pieces are hard to find and costly since they dont make them anymore. Thanks for your help
