Wanting to know if any body has the new yamaha Rhino yet? Looks like a lot of fun. Like to know how it compares to a ATV on trails and speed/handling.

My dealer up here in northern ontario said they are only sending them out to afew dealers so it could be a while before I get to take one for a rip. For a qiuck look here's the best site so far

woops my bad. Guess I should have researched a little better before I asked. Looks like those should be awful fun. Should be able to carry a whole load of fishing gear, coolers, lawn chairs way back into the woods.

One problem I have discovered,

I was all excited till I read in one of my mags that the top end is only around 35mph, I thought with the Grizzly motor, it would be reaching atleast 50mph, the Polaris Ranger even hits 40 they say. I know there not meant to go quick but to atleast keep up with the ATV's would be nice on a trip. No sence of one coming along the ATV's would always be waiting.

We currently have one and are making some products for it right now. And let me say, it is BY FAR the fastest sidebyside on the market. I have rode mules and rangers. The rhino is better in everyway. We have been cutting doughnuts in the parking lot with it, if that tells you its power and handling. I am very impressed with it and would recommend it to anyone in the market for one. We have 28" outlaws on it now, with no lift or anything and it doesnt rub or have any problems, and believe me WE ARE TESTING IT!!!! Job Well done yamaha..

Thanks for the info, Bryan; I have had my deposit down on the first availiable for over a month now (couldn't wait for the camo) and you have made my wait that much longer with your glowing review.....THANKS A LOT!!!

We've been jonesin' for this thing for so long that I've already picked up a Ramsey 3000 remote winch with the new multi-mount; PIAA/Streetglow lights, a Hellroaring baterry isolator/combiner; the new Yellow Top 51 series battery; Kolpin waterproof luggage and 26" MudLites with the new Maxxis 8-spokes (yet from your description; I guess we should have just "shot the moon".... and got the 28's!).

I even bought these wheels having "no idea" whether they fit this thing and just went off the specs. of an '04 Grizzly.........am I screwed(?); or are they the same bolt pattern and 12 X 7 size as the '04 quad?.

Also, could you reveal what accessories you guys are looking at?(I understand, if you can't). I'm not sure why Yamaha isn't whetting our whistle a little with accessories of their own and will definitely wait until your release before deciding on how many it will take to break the bank. We have pretty much decided on a top, windshield and the optional plug-in digital package as must-haves.

Thanks again for making our wait that much more unbearable!

35mph seems kinda slow for the 660, but I can understand because the weight of the Rhino is at or close to 1000lbs... compared to a lite Grizzly...

I hear there are a lot of options available for this thing, the website shows some pretty cool stuff... like a roof, gun rack, windshield... I am thinking I would rather take this thing out on the links than a crappy electro golf cart anyday LOL!!!
