Polaris Ranger 4x4 Prices?
#11
Mine was $8100 in the Eastern Washington (State) area. It was bone stock when I got it, but what is the fun in leaving it that way? It is a 2003 4X4 Series 11, and I've had it about 6 months.

California Sucks! I negotiated my a$$ off to get the price down to $8997 OTD. I went to three dealers offering cash and that was by far the best deal I could get in so cal.
The manufacturing plate on my ranger says it was manufactured 12/31/01. One more day and it would have been an '02. Oh well...

Well ya'll, after lots of discussion, my wife and I decided to stick with Honda. We already have the 450ES. So we decided to get her a Rancher. On Monday we bought a 2003, slightly used, Rancher 350ES for 3200. Now she has a ride and I have a ride. She loves the Rancher. And, we saved lots of money. So, I got a new winch and a basket rack!

Does anyone know where I can buy a windshield for a 2003 Ranger 4X4? I know you cab buy them $$$$ from purepolaris.com $$$$ but I was hoping there might be an aftermarket one out there that I could afford. I keep watching ebay but there has not been one on there in some time.
Thanks

"What it boils down to is I need one or the other so I can pack my kids and my dogs around"
from what you wrote in your first post, i don't think the Rancher's gonna do the trick Martyboy!

MTPockets, not ALL of them at once! I know they're designed for one person. However, on the trails and places I ride we can take one of the kids on each atv safely. And when I go hog hunting with my buddy we can each put two dogs on the back of the atv's with the drop basket racks on them. So, yes, the Rancher has solved our problem.
The Polaris and the Mule pretty well fell out of contention for two reasons. Number one, they both are to wide for the trails we go on and where we hunt. Number two, they both are over priced for what you get.
We, me and my wife, discussed the issue at length and decided this was the best course of action for us. Plus, we got a heck of a deal on Rancher and got a good deal on winch for the 450ES.

Your right they are wide the one my dad has can fit 3 grown men and still haul 800 pounds and do it at 40mph if you want. And $8400 is alot of money but trust me you get alot.My 71 year old dad uses his on his farm like a tractor...

Ain't no doubt about it Bill. They are great machines. Just not what we need right now. Some of the places I ride you couldn't get a wide machine like that through there. I think maybe sometime in the future one may be what we need. But for now the set ups we have are going to work great for us. Maybe one day Honda will put out a decent side by side utility atv. Until then we'll wait.

You should check out the Yamaha rhino. It is 6" narrower than the ranger. It is only a little bit wider than a 4x4 quad. (54") It is the same price as the ranger but has a much better suspension. here is a good review-
