Yeah, I'm sure you are right about the weight issue, I do believe this size motor will make more peak horsepower though. There are apparently lots of clutch kits available for them that will raise the rpm that they engage. You would definetly have to keep it on the pipe.

This place has big bore cylinder kits (doesn't say what size) and clutch springs (which may fit the twister?) and pipes for the 2-stroke 90's

My issue with the polaris 250 is that it is piston port and somewhat large. I rode one once, if I remember, it wasn't too fast but a pipe would help alot. I know from experience that a slightly worked on blaster 200cc is faster than a stock 400ex, and about even with a pipe on the 400. Hillclimbing and trail use on a 4-stroke blows a 2-stroke away, but I like the wheelspinning fun potential of a 2-stroke.

For the heck of it I asked for a delivered price quote. Pretty reasonable considering all the options. $2350 delivered for the single and $2650 delivered for the double to the northeast... has speedometer, removable roof... the better style of lights, that ram air thingy (who knows if it works) , among other things. If they are as strong as a Dazon I would say it's worth it. One of the things that irks me about the Dazon is that they are totally stripped and don't even come with fenders. This supplier seams to fix all that.

Wow, that's really cool. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, I figured the "ram air" was just a remote breather... but jeez, that's kinda cheesy to call it ram air.

Still, the buggys look good.

Okay, got the performance kit from Toy Junkies. Included both a new pilot and main jet. Everything was installed last night. Definately a moderate peformance increase and a nice exhaust note. Getting some deceleration popping, Raptoraz, are you getting this at all? Small backfiring on deceleration at times. From what I've read that means it may be lean on the top end. New main jet is a 120.

Didn't shim the main needle yet... What exactly does this achieve?? I assume it might richen the mid to top end a bit more too?

Does it pop coming off of a WOT run or just normal cruising?

Mainly when coming down from wot on a free wheeling run at speed. Caught a few mid range pops too though while tooling around in the dirt.

If I milk it down from WOT it doesn't happen... but if I let it free wheel after the run it does.

Have you done a plug check, right after a WOT run?
