Default Rhino CDI's and Paddle Tires

Some of this might be repeat but I am having a hard time finding info! First of all if you were going to do a lot of dunes riding would you get paddles or a cdi first!

Next question I hear alot of people reccomending the Black Rhino Performance CDI , but I was curious if anyone was running the Scary Fast Rhino Juice CDI and how well it works! Anyways thanks for any and all help!

I have an 06 that I just put a black rhino CDI box on & I can tell the differince. Its only been on about two weeks so I haven't seen any problems with it yet. I'm running 27" ITP 589's as far as paddles go. If you don't mind duning a little slower at first go paddles first. I would guess paddles and sand might pull a little power/speed. The extra power the CDI gives should help out a lot. I'm no pro on dunes, but I have been once for the week of Thanksgiving in 04. Its a long ride from MS.

without a doubt get the CDI first, I also have the Black Rhino CDI and it works great. As far as Paddles go, I am not sure they are an absolute necessity like they are for quads out there in the dunes. Search the web for an event called "Rhino Crash" and look at the pics, you will see HUNDREDS of Rhinos and almost all of them are not using paddles out in the dunes. The ones that are using paddles are very tricked out. I have a rhino as well, but havent taken it to the dunes yet, I just got it.

I have a stock Rhino and ride only in the sand. I have (2) friends that both have CDI's boxes & pipes on theirs. One has paddles and the other has 27" mud tires tires. My stock Rhino on stock tires still beats both in a drag race ion the sand. I was amazed. For Sand I don't see where either item is doing much good. My only change is that I put on aluminum wheels w/1" spacers from High lifter. Now for dirt.... maybe the CDI adds more speed... ?

Get the BRP CDI and let the air in your stock tires down to about 6 lbs. I've not found a dune at Little Sahara, Oklahoma that my 660 Rhino won't climb.
