Hi everyone I just got my new rhino 450 last month in june and I found a vary hard vibration just after you start moving at the speed of about a fast walk the place where I got it at is trying to blame it on tires but the vibration is just to hard after you get a bit faster you can feel the tires then. I have taken it back to them and now thay tell me that thay have a new 650 back with baaring problems and that mine has the same actions as the 650. Has anyone else had the same problem.
Thanks for any advice on this

I know it has been a while since you last posted. Did you figure out what the problem was? I just bought a 660 last week it it also vibrates pretty bad at a slow speed. The vibration seems to be coming from the transmission / CVT area. Seems to occur just after the drive pully starts to turn. I am not sure if this is normal because it seems fine once you get the speed up. Could also be because of it being a 660 sigle cylinder, and simply vibrates alot. Has anyone else had this problem?

Its totally normal , this has been discussed on numerous forums . everyones Rhino does it .
Pull your engine cover off , and then start it up and let it idle , then slowly start to depress the gas until you hit that sweet spot (vibe/rattle) you will find it just above idle . I have found it to be the cvt pipe that runs along the driver side of the engine , and also the belly pan rattles a bit too at the right rpm , heck , even the hood rattles a bit at certain rpm's .
It's annoying , but if you realize its normal and there is nothing to be concerned about , you will find it becomes less noticeable , after a while you wont even notice it
Happy Rhinoing

Thanks for thr reply. In the meantime, I took the drive belt off to determine if it was coming from the transmission. The vibration was still there. Does everyone have this vibration? I like to cruise slow ( also had it on 2 wheels while railing a berm, I ain't that old ) and the noise is just to much.
A word of warning....I must have turned the output shaft the wrong direction while reinstalling the belt and screwed up the sprag clutch ( one way gear ). It ended up galling the race on the centrifugal clucth and now wants to spin the output shaft all the time, not allowing it to go into gear. Thats what I get for being too curious.
I now need to replace the centrifugal clutch and one way bearing and I have only had it 5 days :-(
$400.00 and a little work should have me up and running. I could run without but I would have no engine braking, one of the reasons I bought it over the Ranger.
While I am whining....I was not very happy with this brand new Rhino. The vibration was a dissapointment. I also had to reinstall the tail lights because they were crooked, the gas tank was mounted so far forward that you could hardly get the cap off, I found a seat belt mounting bolt laying in the belly pan..wondering what else I might find after I have had it a few weeks?
If you all tell me this is normal stuff, maybe I will feel better and get used to it.
