Default BAD TRACTION ON MY GATOR

I have a John Deere Trail Gator 6x4. I get no traction when I try to climb the mountains behind my house. There are so many leaves and rotted wood, etc that my wheels just spin and spin. At times I try to traverse the slopes and slide sideways.
Any recommendations for the slippage.
Thanks

get rid of the tires and put atv tires on it or trade it in for something with suspension.

Default BAD TRACTION ON MY GATOR

My family has one at some property we have and we have same problem, anytime you try going up a muddy hill you end up getting stuck about half way. I have noticed that only one side of the rear tires will spin so I assuming that it doesnt have limited slip. It is just to heavy and slow to keep the momentum up the hill. If there was way lock the rear end so all four tires would spin it might help.

Woodchip...Keep the Gator. Sounds like you just need more traction. Have you ever considered an over the tire track system? I'm sure that will solve your problem. Check it out.

did you ever think of sawing down some 6x6 argo tracks to fit on your back wheels?? might help with the traction expecially if the machine is slow.
