Roketa 800 CV Axle

Can anyone tell me how to remove the CV Axles from the tranny side? Do you remove it from the tubs that are connected to the tranny? Are there clips or retainers inside that I have to remove first? Or, do I have to remove the tubs from the tranny and if so, how??? Mine are still OK, but need to replace the outside boots. Any new info on stronger CV units??? Thanks in Advance?

I recently had my axles out to remove the tranny and service the clutch as well as replace the boots. The whole process was a learning experience. I did not remove the tubs/cups from the tranny. I used the slide hammer method to pull the axle out of the tranny cups. I don't think they would have come apart if there were c clips involved. I hope I'm right or I'll be doing the whole process over.
When it went back together, I used a hammer to tap the axle back into the CV joint. the axle will need to be level to do this, and you must remove the shock. You will also need to remove the swing arms to get the axles out.
With the axle level, you will be able to seat the axle back into the joint with the hammer. Push it in as hard as you can by hand, then tap the other end of the axle(hub removed) with the hammer. It will "seat" another 3/4'' or so. I believe this "press fit" is all that holds it in place.
If anyone knows for sure that there are c clips in those cups, please let me know.
I'm planning a ride at CAW this weekend and I hate learning the hard way.

Yes, there are spring loaded c-clips on the CV's. I did not even notice them until the second install...They do not come off of the CV, they just spring out for tension in the groove it sits in.
I guess what I am trying to say is they are there, they are not very noticeable, but you will not loose them because they are attached.
I replaced my tranny with a lower geared one, and my axles with performance axles built by RCV or Rockford CV, they make racing axles and are the manufacturer for Gorilla axles. No more worries :-)

I joined this forum just to ask you about the performance axles you are talking about. I broke my axle on my Roketa 800cc GK032A this past saturday and am looking for a stronger replacement. Can you send me a link or point me in the direction,,pls...?
