Default whats the better side by side?

I am looking for a side by side that can be used for work and play. i am interested in the ranger 800 and the new utv from bobcat, gas or diesel but has to be a 4x4. What would be a better buy? thanks.

Frank, Need more information to answer your question. Give us some details on what you currently want to do with this machine. What's your riding style....Are you a hammer down guy, or just cruise around enjoying the outdoors? What are your trails like, any size limits or really tight rocky sections?

I'd say if you want to cruise and do work: XP Ranger. Great worker and pretty comfortable and fast.

Hammer down: RZR-S. Can do some work, but flies offfroad. Will do circles around a Ranger. Both RZR-s and XP Ranger are ~ 60"s wide.

Width restrictions: RZR standard at 50" wide. Can do work and and ride tight ATV trails.

Sorry, I'm partial to Polaris gear

I want one that i can cruise with and work with but it would not hurt for it to have speed.

Ranger 800 will have a nicer ride and will be quicker than the Bobcat in all likelihood. Guess is the Bobcat may have a slightly better payload and towing. The Ranger HD is a great choice also. All the things that make a Ranger 800 XP great plus self leveling shocks. You add weight to it and it levels itself back off at regular running height somehow.

Look at the Rhino or Teryx. That's pretty much the niche they fill.
