New brand Nikola Motor Company thinks so and they'll build you one today for a cool $42,000:

It's actually not as expensive as I thought it would be. It's producing 5x more HP than the 30k dollar turbo Mavericks and RZRs do and it appears to be an American Company? 150 miles of range is more than most gas powered UTVs get and its got 20" of suspension travel per wheel!

I wouldn't buy one, but I'm impressed.

The 150 mile range is pretty impressive as long as it maintains its power until the battery is fully drained. Still having to wait for a battery to take hours to charge is a bit annoying as opposed to taking a a couple minutes to simply put gas in. Sometimes you may not be near a power sourse to recharge when the battery goes dead either. Perhaps if they build something with a bit less power, say in the 200-250 hp range and price it close to what a turbo rzr or turbo maverick costs or even less, that's when they will be some serious competition.
