I don't know how fast they are but I watched a guy climb up the middle of the Devils Backbone at Haspin in Indiana with one. He had his buddy sitting beside him and he even stopped mid way in the gnarliest part of the hill and had a cold drink. Then he easily crawled the rest of the way up. Great hill climber.

Actually they do about 40 MPH.
