I just bought a new mule 4 wheel drive i was wanting to no if anyone else has one of these? How do you like yours so far? What have you done with it to improve it? Is there any forms for just mules and other work 4 wheelers? Thanks Bob

my dad sold his 4 wheeler because he said it was to hard to get his leg over it. He bought a 550 mule, I've had it here at my house putting a hitch and some accessory outlets on it for him. He has been on vacation, so we've had it about 2 weeks. All I can say is this is a great vehicle for doing work in. We use for hauling hay, fire wood, trash everything. It is only 2wd but it has a diff lock. I took it through some old skid trails on our ground and it is very capable off road. Not realy for play but for nearly any work application I could think of. We have overloaded it I'm sure but it just keeps on chugging up the hill no slip of the belt yet. I am impressed.

I've had a 2510 (earlier version of 3010) for 4 years. Own 180 acres of timber with about 5 miles of trails. The Mule is an indispensible tool for numerous tasks like trail maintenance, harvesting firewood, saw lumber, etc. Also have a Honda Rubicon. Use the Mule way more and if could have only one, it would be the Mule--much slower but way more useful. It does have some shortcomings, though. When new, it wouldn't stay in the low side of the transmission under load. Dealer tried twice to get it right, but failed. I finally fixed it myself, a simple, but critical adjustment to the shift cable. The underside isn't well enough protected for my kind of use. Have had 3 incidents where sticks have run up under the machine and caused damage or safety issues. Broke parking brake cable, bent choke linkage bracket enough to flood out the engine, and stick stuck in governor linkage causing a minor "runaway". Optional shields won't provide adequate protection.
With the 4-wheel drive it'll go about anywhere BUT deep snow or deep sand. My land runs about a mile along a river. Hoped to be able to tow my small jon boat up a dry sand chute to launch. Total weight is about 500-600lbs. Mule handles with ease on firm ground, up and down serious hills, etc. But it instantly digs itself down to the frame when I hit the sand. The Rubicon, with low pressure ATV tires, will take it right up the chute without difficulty.
I'll bet, though, you'll love the Mule if you're after utility and not concerned with speed.
