New Polaris Ranger Input Requested
#1
Hey guys, I see Polaris has the new rangers out, with the new 6x6 starting to hit dealer floors now. I talked to Polaris engineering in Minnesota, they say it's a complete redesign. Better steering, quieter, easier to maintain, bench front seat for three. Anybody have any real insight? Someone with the new Ranger 4x4 could give some good input here, as this is the basis for the new 6x6 also. Any input is greatly appreciated as these things are expensive! Trying to decide whether to trade my old Ranger for a new one.

We have had the Ranger line for several years and hear is my opinion. I liked the seating configuration of the old however you could only carry 1 passenger. I am also a fan of the old metal dump box instead of plastic but in the same turn that is where the majority of the noise was eliminated. Everything has its good and "bad" improvements. If you want your Ranger to be quieter and haul another person then yeah trade it, but if you really enjoy the seating arrangements (I believe the old is more comfortable) and a steel bed, keep it.

i owned a Sportsman 6X6 and i loved that plastic dump body. i used it to haul all kinds of stuff and never had a problem. it's a hell of an improvement over the metal one 'cause it doesn't dent/scratch and rust the first month you own it and it's quiet, not making 'tinny' abnoxious noises all the way down the trail.
as far as a bench/bucket seat? just look at the competition!
i'd go for the bench.
-my 2 cents
