Couldn't stand the Hogue rubber grips so I got some of the original wood grips off e-bay. Like the fit much better.

Un-Sweet!
Each to his own, and if the wood grips work better for you that's great, but I like the looks of the Hogue grips better.
I have Pachmayr oversized grips on my Super Blackhawk Ruger, and they work good for me.

Then you probably won't like these elk bone/stag grips I'm gonna have made up for it from this guy Home.

And already ordered a hand carved holster/belt combo from this guy Custom Leather Work Hand crafted by Lever;. Gonna have a two-tone holster with a "RedHawk" carved on the holster and the holster/belt colored Ox Blood. The belt lined and stitched to match the holster.

I have large hands so the wide Hogue grips fit me much better than stock plastic or wood grips. To each his own. I'm glad you got what you like. Looks like it will be fine for your needs. Merry Christmas to you!

The Pachmayr's on my Super Blackhawk are strictly utilitarian!
Didn't say I don't like cool grips on a SA. They would sweet on a Vaquero.
In fact, if Santa brings me enough Bass Pro gift cards, a 45 LC Vaquero might be my next purchase, and I'll look the guy up to order some from him.

Thats cool. I don't have any use for a SA gun. I'm sure I could learn to shoot it faster. But I do like it looking good. I didn't like the rubber Hogue's at all. I don't believe my hands are large enough. The factory wood fit much better. Nice firm grip when I shoot. So I went ahead and ordered these to match the size of the factory grips. Should be here tomorrow.

Now I have to wait 2 more months for LeverGunLeather to do my carved holster/belt. But here's the new grips. Those rubber Hogue's suck!

Got in my holster I wanted to show.

But what I'm really excited about is the home defense weapon I bought today. And yes it's finally a 45ACP. Hopefully be here by Friday.

S&W 629 44mag 7" Performance Center "Light Hunter".

bought mine 5 years ago- it's my favorite hunting / home pistol. Sells for $1100 - $1500 worth every penny.
