Impulse purchase!

On the way to the range a few weeks ago, I stooped is a gun shop. I had been giving a little thought to getting a cheap 22 plinker revolver to add to the Walther P22 I had bought in February.
Well, this Heritage Rough Rider just jumped up and said "buy me". They had a pretty good price on it, under $200 so I could not help myself. Here it is, and here is what it did at the range yesterday after a little tweaking.

10 yds, with 4 different types of ammo as noted on the target. The center was 6 rounds of each kind before I shot at the smaller targets.
Not too bad of a little plinker.

Looks like it shoots pretty good.
Almost got one by this maker a few yrs ago at the feed store, they had them on sale at the time.
( one with pink grips i saw somewhere to
)
Dont go there to much -but still might have to get one in a 22 mag.

Does your pistol have some kind strange safety?
allways ment to pick up a ruger single six in 22 lr/22 mag( kinda pricy though compared to the one i saw in this brand.
Somehow( was a bday present) i ended up with a single six in 32 mag instead- nice but id prefur a more commen caliber.

LzWy,
Mine came with both the long rifle and magnum cylinders. I think most of them do.
Yep, hammer block safety on the left side of the frame opposite the loading gate. Real PITA to get used to, but probably a good thing for training a newbe.

That's a sweet deal. I just love .22 pistols. Cheap to shoot, low recoil, it's all the marksmanship without most of the cost. I have a Colt Diamondback that I picked up back when they weren't horribly priced. Hammer feels like it has power assist, ultra smooth.
I was looking long and hard at a single six with the long buntline barrel, but all he had was the mag cylinder. Kinda pricey to shoot.
Best ammo I've found for the Colt is a subsonic Eley pistol round. Not cheap, but with .22's the ammo makes a lot of difference in the accuracy.
