Use a graphics program and reduce them to the allowed size. If you're using Windows, Paint will do it. Accessories - Paint. Bring up the image in paint, pick stretch/skew from image tool bar, start putting 50% in the height/width boxes and continue until you get the size you need. Check it with Attributes in that same menu to tell you what your size is after each change.

I just added a picture to see if there was anything special i had to do. I use to have to resize using 2000. Since i installed pro, i just pick out the photo i want and it is automatic. The one thing i do different, maybe is that i use a card reader instead of the camera to download the pictures onto the computer. When you plug in the card reader a window comes up and asks you what you want to do with the pictures. pick the first option, which is download the pictures to a file on your computer. That way you're using the xp programs to manage your pictures instead of the software that came with your camera. It also saves your camera batteries.
