Probs with forum design
#1
First off love the site. Great help and good interaction for the atv community.
Couple of things that bug me.
1.) I subscribe to the RSS feed and when I see a topic of interest I go strait to the thread. Well, if I want to comment I click login on the left which, is always present and a good idea except the login takes me out of the thread back to the Forum category and I have to search for the thread I was interested in again. Alternative login is I click reply then login and must use the annoying pop up to write my response in. The work-around is click reply->login->close window->refresh page.
2.) WTF is up with the vertical banner ad on the side. I mean I understand ad views = $ but a vertical banner ad? Really? And on the left side? Can it obstruct our view any more?

Don't know how to help with the first problem.
As for the second one, it's only going to be there for a week. Some ads have been for a month.
Easiest way around that is to pay the site more than Suzuki did to take it down.

Ha! Well, I can live with it for a week I suppose. Do you understand what I'm saying with the first issue? Sometimes I don't clearly state things. Either way it's not a show stopper just something that may want to be addressed in the next "upgrade", "roll out" or, whatever you call it in the web design world.

Well, I don't use the RSS function, so you lose me after that. Maybe someone else knows the tricks for that.
But posting an issue is how they know someone likes or dislikes the way the site works. I think most people would be surprised at how many things that are changed and added were from user requests and complaints.

Well this prob will exist regardless if you use the RSS feed or not. I'm guessing that the site surly has a timeout. I know in the morn when I check the site I am logged out. I never click "Log Out".
Let me give an example that will be easiest.
This morning I go to the forums and see the forum home list e.g. Yamaha, Honda , Polaris.... I choose Yamaha. I see a interesting thread a click it. Read the post and want to reply. Well, I use the login on the right side of page that always exist and it will kick me out and take my back to the forum home page instead of keeping me in the topic.
As I said it's not a big deal but, I think this is unexpected behavior.

I have clicked the the remember me box, then signed in. Then I went to the forum index and saved that into my favorites. In the morning when I get here, I just click on my favorites tab, and then the connection link. Never has me sign back in and don't have any trouble replying.
