Hey mtpockets are you running 10.5? My 10.4 laptop at home seems to have no problems whatsoever. My 10.5 computer at work has the same problems you are experiencing.

Sorry, should of explained better. Apples Mac operating system is called OS X. X meaning 10 we have versions like 10.4 and the newest is 10.5. It's the equivalent to Windows XP and Windows Vista in the PC world. (Software wise not functionality wise. : \ )

If your on your Mac go to the Apple in the top left of the screen. Click about this Mac and it will give you a window that says MAC OSX version 10.4.11 or 10.5.6.

Koopa,

Mine is a mac OS X Version 10.5.6.

It takes THREE min to load each Forum page which is completely rediculous.

My connection speed is 4GBps which I know is super fast.

So, what do you think makes 10.4 work but 10.5 not work?

Just a heads up, the forums will be down for about 3 hours tonight at about 10pm pacific time.

The banner ads have been here for a while now. Like it or not, they pay the bills.

I know they pay the bills........ and the old ones were not nearly as invasive.

But this new cookie stealer ***** enlargement crap is back building a stream of data every time you open a page. Nature of the beast know, but watch the bits that sucker is streaming in/out and there you have a slow-down.

Hope I don't get in trouble for saying this but, what the heck. I agree with you ss97. If you use firefox (and you should if your not) go to tools->add ons->get addons and search for adblock. There are a couple of programs. After installed you can block ad URL's. I most already have these blocked because I don't see any. : P

Banner ad's are ANNOYING. I understand they sale but, google ads, and I think Microsoft has an ad system too that is not near as obtrusive to the page.
