07 Hawkeye starts hard cold
My Uncle has an 07 Hawkeye with very low miles. He got it through his son who works at Polaris. It never really started all that great and after a new plug, wire and a carb check? from a dealer it still starts really bad when the temps are 20 degrees and colder. He uses it ice fishing and he has to go out and start it every 45 mins.or so or it may not start at all. The dealer would like to sweep it under the rug and not see him again because he didn't buy it from the dealership but he has to make it run or dump it for something else. Anyone else had this problem. When warmed up and in warm weather it starts and runs great. Choke cable adjustment? Richer jetting? We're stumped and the dealer seems to be too. Would appreciate any ideas and feedback we can get. My 04 Eiger Automatic fired up yesterday and it was -20F. Had to pull start it as the battery took to much juice to run the starter and fire it I guess. Started on the 4th pull. Seems bazzair but at least it starts. Thanks, Steve
