Hi all I'm new to the forum hope I'm posting properly I've got a kazuma jaguar 500 with a gear shift problem the only way I can select gear is if I pull out button type **** on small attachment on top of gearbox and that allows me to select gear don't know what you call that item and indeed if it's faulty any help would be greatly appreciated

What is this item called please
