Well Mr. Thomas I have drove many things over 5 gears and 35 lbs. of torque. Check out my REAL TOY at www.teipenspullingteam.tsx.org Anyone can ride a fourwheeler - that doesn't always take a lot of skill.

I know riding a quad doesn't take skill. So I find it odd that you would not defend ANY quad rider in your previous post. But instead you tell me about it. Ever hear of preaching to the choir? If you agree with my point say so, But I don't understand how you can agree with my point & try & argue with me about it.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but since when does saying:
"The scrambler is the best for people who are novices to the sport"
mean the same thing as:
"Everyone who rides an automatic Polaris doesn't know how to ride"?
I wish people would stop getting so insulted when someone dares imply that their (excellent) quad also happens to be good for novices, too.

Thomas have you had any clutch probs with your Scrambler. I have both a 99 400 EX and the 00 4x4 Scrambler. Both get rode the same way and terrain and the EX has had no probs what so ever and the Scrambler has been in the shop twice and clutch has been out both times this is very frustrating and seeing that you have the Polaris I was just wondering if any of your quads had these probs. to the Scramblers credit it is a fine machine backed by a very good company that had know problems fixing what may have been a factory lemon. But this is a real life comparsion from one persons point of veiw Honda has the most reliable Quads in the industry.

I agree Hondas are the most reliable. I did have a Honda before. Just gas & go. But my brothers 400EX was more of a pain than my Scrambler. All the little screws fell out & about 15 minutes after he brought it home the wheel fell off! Plus being a Honda it was hard to start when it was below 50 deg. The only problem I ever had with my clutch was my own tinkering. Trying to get the damn thing "shiftout" at the correct RPM. I did just take it in to have the CV boot fixed. But those things happen. You can't hardly ride and watch for things not to hit at the same time. People say Polaris is unreliable which might be, but mine has been very good to me. In fact my brothers old Sport was reliable, so was my other friends EXpress300, And my other friends Explorer 400. Around here the seem to run great (knock on wood).
What are the exact problems you are having with your clutch?

I personally think the Scrambler has too much power for a real novice. Something like an LT80 would be more like it. Though in some respects, I suppose the LT80 and the Scrambler are similar.
