I am posting this in hopes that when the Honda official read this they might understand just how bad they have screwed up. We have asked for the XR650 engine in a quad, instead Yamaha heard us and brought out the Raptor. We asked for the CRF450 engine in a quad frame and once again Yamaha heard the call of the enthusiast and delivered the YFZ450.

You know Honda, my ex-wife didn't listen to me much either, that's why she's my ex. That's ok, she just like you got replaced by a much sexier model. I'm sure you can understand or maybe that's the whole problem, you people aren't very smart and that's a shame. R.I.P. Honda.

 

I completely hear you. Im so pissy right now. After looking at all the new pics of the YZF450 quad, I really want it. And I hate Honda for not beating Yamaha. Honda might loose a lot of previously customers because of this quad right here. They also kept the Blaster and Banshee in the line up too!. They have a badass looking all black Banshee.

Honda lost me to Bombardier. I would have bought a big bore honda over any other brand.

 

Honda isnt known for their bright marketing skills.. I mean look at the 250r's.. one of the most popular ATVs ever, and only made for a very short time.

 

You know what I love the most ? How all the EX honda riders come here to bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch..go bitch somewere else...

When the raptor came out is had some problems...hopefully yamaha took some time to test this new "thing" out before they release it...

Honda will do whatever they want...they are still selling 400EX's and since the discount I really couldn't see why anyone would buy a Z400 over it unless they were lazy about reverse...sure it has liquid cooling but the 400ex does just fine without it...so who cares...it's only a hair faster and with all the money you saved it could be made faster then the Z. Honda seams to sell A LOT more utes then it does sport wheelers so why would they be in a rush to get them out...they recently released the rincon...and the rancher AT's are coming. Honda has something in the works for a sport quad it might be here this summer it might be here next spring....who knows...but eventually it will be out and hopefully it will be another "great" like the 250R and shut all the whinney people up... I don't really give a rats *** about the Z400, I don't give a **** about the Rincon or even the Raptor. I do however care about a race ready quad. I have ridden every stock quad, they all SUCK except for the Cannondale Moto / Blaze [No more] and the Gas Gas twins [ weird bikes, who knows what will happen with them in the long run]

People like you who claim they don't need a new quad from Honda becuz their 250R is the greatest quad ever built are not helping the problem. Honda listens to guys like you and says, " We've still got these SUCKERS on the corporate tit". How many Pros have switched to custom made 450's ?? Do they have to or is it just possible that they might just be faster, more tractable, forgiving and easier to ride at the limit for a longer amount of time? I'll always have a 250R, not an issue. I would have liked it if Honda could've built a bike for under $7000 that I didn't have to dump another $6000 in just to have the performance I wanted.

If they want my money, I DEMAND they build the quad I WANT. This is my way of telling them, in an appropriate industry related forum that I know they frequent. Someday they might make it. It won't stop me from buying a Yamaha 450 this time however.

yeah, I dont normaly b!tch about this stuff. But this pushed me over the edge. I actually bought a Raptor last year. I hated it. I enjoy my 400ex more. But I need more power. I love the lightweight and the handling, but it needs more umph. Why cant they just respond. It seems dumb to me. Quads out sold dirtbikes last year by a long shot. Thats never happened. People are buying more quads not with the new wave of thumpers. People dont want a 99 398cc air cooled bike when there is a 450cc liquid cooled bike with rezzie shocks on the front for another 700$ accross the street. I hope Honda takes another kick in the nuts on sales for this one. They already took a hit from the 400z. Maybe it will smack them out of it or get out of it. Honda embarrases me right now. People are rating honda way below Yamaha, and below companies like Polaris and Kawasucki. We are at the bottom of the food chain. Yeah we know the 400ex is great, but i doubt it will stand a chance against the new yamy450. Its going to get owned.
