buying a dodge tomorrow
#1
I am thinking about buying a dodge tomorrow in atlanta ga. this thing is bad to the bone, it has been lifted 6" with 35" tires. It is a 1996 dodge ram sport 4x4 with 104k miles and
$5000 invested for around $5500 to $6000. what do you guys think.

Thats so funny how people say thats a lot of miles... talking about rebuilds ect..
(NOT trying to start a flame war of ANY kind)
My 91' Yota V6 4X4 (also lifted 6" w/ 33" BFG Muds) has 220K miles..... BUT it DID have to get overhauled @ 170K due to
a bad oil pump. EVERYTHING else stock/original. Fuel pump, water pump, radiator, power steering pump, manual tranny shifts like new, ect... still going strong and gets me to Glamis and back 4 hours each way.. not to mention all the wheeling in the sand @ glamis with it.
@ 104K miles, my truck still looked and literally like brand new. Although, lifted, 4 wheeled, getting beat, it still runs like a champ.
I am the original owner. I just wish it had more power with the 33's.
With that Dodge, if the motor oil has been changed religously... it should be fine for a while.
Its that auto tranny you need to worry about. If it is still original.. it'll go soon.
Try for the low end, $5500... good luck!
