that is definitely scary. All those stories I hear about piano wire or fishing line being strung out across trails...I've heard tons of stories on that, and that is actually my main fear out in the trails...those animals that put that wire there to hurt people should be run over....

Just updating this thread. Yesterday down at the lake about half a mile from where i live two kids were riding a waverunner and turned and hit a boat both of them are in serious condition and the skier behind the boat was hurt as well. The kid driving the waverunner was 8 yrs. old. And people wonder why companies but warning stickers on there.

It all boils down to common sense. The first purchase after your atv should be a helmet. The new generation helmets are not even heavy.

I had a scar a few days ago on my grizzly, i was riding with 3 other people, me in the middle, the first went under a low-hanging branch, and when he let go of the branch it came back down and while driving under it i didnt see it and it knocked the visor off my helmet.

Always wear a helmet...The helmet IMO is the best saftey piece you can buy. I mean there is just no sense in not wearing one.

Around here 400ex's are getting a bad name. One kid had to have his spleen removed. Another ran into a 10ft deep ditch, one ran into a moving truck headon, and a couple weeks ago 2 ran into each other and flipped.

Theres at least 15 400ex's in this area and at least 5 or 6 have been in major accidents.
