i have a 01recon and i need to no wat mods i can get for it. i need to in crease the hp and speed.

01 recon
01 90 scrambler
03 z400with few mods

no mud no fun get down and dirty

 

Pipe, filter and rejet for starters. I think the recon is shaft drive so the only way to gear it higher is with larger tires. The increase in HP should make up for the drive train having to turn larger tires. If you have decent mechanical skills you can put a higher compression piston and a cam (4 stroke tech) has them. The only problem is if you did all that you would find the limits of the stock suspension really fast. Big hp increases are great for drag racing or getting it to turn bigger wheels in the mud or something like that but if you want to be faster everywhere get suspension. From now on I'm always going to do suspension first.
