Rear Shock on RANCHER
#1
Hey all,
Just a quick question about your new RANCHER. I noticed on my ES 4x4 that the rear shock absorber (inside the rear spring) is showing wear....my bro-in-law has same bike with lots more miles and is showing NO wear.....
Does anybody out there have any signs of wear on your rear shock????
It would appear as though the spring is what is causing the wear on the shock.
p.s. I don't recall ever having the suspension bottom out and I have not ridden the bike hard (and it has very few miles).

yeha, a friend of mine just bought a new 2000 2x4 rancher, he was jumping a small jump and the battery busted out of the battery box and the back shock busted, he got it all replaced under warranty, apperantly the honda place had 2 other ranchers come in, one had the battery busted out and the others shock was busted. on a good note, they put a reenforced peice on the battery box, he has hit some bigger jumps and rougher terrain since then and everything has been fine.
