u will be dissapointed with the 250EX. get the 300EX. it requires a little more maintenance (spraying lubricant on the chain) unless u r hard on clutches. it's a little bit more complicated than the 250 cuz of the clutch, but it has way more power. my bro has a 250 and i have a 300, he can't climb half the hills i can.

Thats bull.. I have a 250EX and I climb hill all over the place, I even had my girlfriend on the back of my 4wheeler while goin down a trail with the 300EX behind me, I blew it away, the guy even told me he couldnt keep up with me, he even races. When I climb hills where I live, i go flying either in 2nd or 3rd gear, never try 4th, i wrecked it with too high in a gear, but otherwise 2nd or 3rd, i flew up this one hill when I live, when I was little, I was scared to death of it because my friend got the wind knocked out of him on his blaster since it didnt have enough power, so when I got my quad, I gassed it and flew up the hill with no problem and had to jam the brakes on at the top before i hit the tree that was at the top of the hill about 10 feet away from the edge. My friend followed me on road with his car, and me on my 4wheeler, I had it goin full throttle, and he kept up with me to see how fast I could go, he said I was going 58 mph for the top. I thought that was pretty good for my kind of 4wheeler (250EX), so Id recommend a 250EX since its easy to drive, and your g/f wont have to mess with the clutch when you show her how to drive it.

Yes a 250ex can take some hills buit they are deffinatly not fast. I beat a 250ex on my foreman. My good friend has a 250ex and its not even worth draggin against a blaster becuase of the speed diffrence. 250ex are just not made to go very fast. 250ex does wheelie very well but so does the blaster. I usally take my forreman 450 when it comes to riding with my freinds so i cant realy tell you how the ex and blaster compare on hill climbs. But if you wanna go fast blaster if you wanna do all around trail riding the ex would be just as good.

blaster
It's a lot faster, has a quick reving 2 stroke engine, many hop-ups, it's the cheapest of the three. I have a honda 250ex and my brother has a blaster, his blaster smokes my 250ex. The blaster has a manual clutch, i know the 250ex doesn't. The blaster hasn't gave any problems yet and it's a '99 model. The blaster is the best pick by far.
