cr500 in 400ex?

Anyways,
I actually had a friend who tried this. He is a machinist and owns a welder. He used his plasma cutter to make the correct size adjustments, and put the cr500 engine in it. He was able to buy a cheap 400ex chassis and used his cr500 engine. He welded everything into place with 14 gauge stainless steel walls. After he rode it once or twice, the welds were cracking, he re-welded it 3 times as thick. It seems to be doing fine. But after he rides for about 1 hour and gets off, he feels like he's still shaking for about 20 minutes.
