Last weekend I went to a Mid-east race in Morganton, NC. Talked to a couple of guys who were racing 400's to learn somethings about what to do as far as mod's and pipes. These guys all told me that if you ride hard check your swingarm where it bolts through the motor. These guys were fixing one while I talked to them that had broke completely. One other guy had already had to weld his. A guy on a 440 said he had a Roll designs
+1" swingarm on the way. Just a little info for all you 400ex Thumpers.

Thanks. Everything I have read about the 400EX said that the swingarm was weak compared to everything else, and would possibly be the first part to break on them. I think I'll keep the stocker until it cracks or breaks.

 

We have broken four in the last year and half.
