I don't think the new 400EX with the 38mm carb is out yet. Is it?

The carb was all it needed to beat the Z.

To beat a Z?? The carb will help (I ran a 38 mm Edelbrock for a while, and top end was furious), but you can't get past the air cooled thing! Particularly in the dunes, I can feel the EX fade right under me, as it gets hot!!!

Wont happen! Kid i ride with is an EXCELLENT rider and his ride would be the 400ex with an edelbrock carb and a K&N and he got spanked by the kid on the Z, but the kid on the Z was prolly 30-40 pounds lighter! So once again that could make the diff. But now The EX has a FMF titanium slip on pipe and the Z would have a WB slip on pro meg pipe with a filter and still spanks the EX!!
