Best All Around Quad???

"Best All Around Quad?"
Given the choices, i'd have to go with the raptor. I'm not a big fan of it. It's hard for me to even say b/c I am pretty much a Honda man. Raptors are ok, but given the features you get, including reverse- which is important to some people- it's worth looking at. It can do dunes, trails, pretty much whatever. Raptors do not handle as good as a 400ex, BUT if 'all around quad" is what is wanted, then they win.
I would pick a 400ex over a raptor if I were to race though, easily. Has a way better platform....But most people want an "all around bike." It's the American "buy one thing to do it all if you're gonna buy something" marketing mentality.
A banshee isnt even in the ball park for an "all around" title. It's a good bike, and even though I am a honda person, I still have a banshee. I like it fine. But it is not an all around bike.

I have to agree with 20characters. I don't see myself ever owning a Raptor though (especially since the 450's are going to reign in the future). And El Centro, why can't Polaris lightern that Predetor up some???

Well one thing, the predator has a steel swingarm, steel a-arms, and fairly heavy tires.

Kawasaki Bayou 220. Not big on performance, but by far the most dependable. It does what it was designed to do (many years ago, as it hasn't changed much in 15 years). A little sporty, slow but kinda responsive, ok in the mud, and good for work. I'm looking at it from the perspective of being the all around best quad meeting objectivity in all areas (not just how fast. . .obviously). Just my experience.

Out of the one's listed I would say the Raptor is the best all around, being that it does everything decently, and had reverse. But overall I would say the Z400's are the best "all around" being that you can do anything from racing, dunes, trails, and anything in between. But thats just my opinion.

how come nobody mentioned the 300ex? i know it wasnt one of the original 3, but if you count in the cost factor that really puts the 300 in the running and it is also one of the most reliable quads i know of. just not a fast and powerful as the 400+ quads. -nathan
