I just ordered a new prm desert grab bar for my 03 400ex, and didnt think of how it would bolt on. Since the stock grab bar is your subframe, I havent recieved it yet, but i want to know how it bolt on before I recieve it.
Does anyone know?

 

They now have a U-bolt design that clamps on to your sub/grab. They used to sell an adapter kit which consisted of some square plates that you welded on after you hacked the end of the sub/grab off. You could then use any 88-89 250r grab. I have 2 of those desert grabs if any one is looking.

 

I wonder if they are going to send me parts with it. I dont think they will. I appreciate your reply.

I have the bolt on type. You have to have the PRM conversion plate [which must be welded on] If you are using an unmodified stock subframe then you need the u-bolt style.

If that is what Harw has then get him to take $50 shipped [as long as it is BRAND new] That would be a fare deal. You can get one shipped to your door from PRM for about $5 more than he is currently asking and you get their warranty with it.
