Honda 450ES or Polaris Magnum 500

zooropa,
About the Honda owners not knowing how to use a grease gun... My local Honda dealer told me Hondas are better for kids from the city to buy since they are more gas & go and city kids aren't very smart. He said people in the country & from the farm know how to use grease guns & such and can actually do their own maintanence. Kinda funny I thought

I have rode the 450ES not bad, have not rode a Magnum but I have rode an Expoler 400 and a SP500 and both machines the ride is superior so Im guessing that a Magnum would be also. But the 450ES was not bad. If it were me i would go with the Magnum.
In reality you should pick the one you feel the most comfortable on,and the one that has the best dealer support, and beleive me Ive owned a few hondas and they have problems to. So as someone said in another post go with the best fit, for you.

Well I'm happy for you that yours has treated you good, wish I could say the same. As respects your earlier post, I've got the following to add:
Price wise you can get either quad for about the same amount of cash, honda comes down significantly from retail.
Foreman will not overheat, I know the mag will, especially when you get a little mud in the radiator. Tell me why liquid cooling is so important????? Don't bother you can't convince me that the foreman needs it!
Brakes, I can assure you that not only will the foreman stop quicker, but the brakes will last longer also. I know a foreman will stop quicker than my sp500.
What about resale? I know the foreman would more than make up for any increase in cost on the front end with a higher return on the back end.
Just my thoughts!
