Okay, heres how I see it. No company with half a brain would sit by and let the industry pass them by. You can bet your a$$ honda is cooking something up and the fact that it hasn't come out yet excites me. This means honda is either taking their sweet @$$ time or they are spending A LOT of time in R & D. I think honda is coming out with something, when they will release it there is no way to tell but with all the delay I'm thinking this thing is gunna blow the doors off everything but the YFZ. Those 2 will be in a class of their own.

 

I've heard this for three years now ! Honda might do something without a doubt, but they already missed the boat!!!

 

Well take everybody in these forums who have a yfz, times that by $7000...and times that by oh....I dunno 8...because at most 1/8 of the atv population actually uses these message board....and what you come out with is what Honda is currently missing out on....cash wise.

 

I heard that they were working on a 440. Single Cylinder (oval shaped), 8 Valve, with 2 spark plugs. This is supposed to give the displacement of a Twin cylinder, yet keep the weight down.

Buy the YFZ450 now and if the Honda comes out and it's better, then buy that. That's simple isn't it?

 

If Honda does come out with a 450, you still would wait a year before you could buy it. They announced the Rincon in Oct, but were not available until June the next year. They announced the Rancher AT in Oct of last year, and now there just hitting the dealers. So even if the anounce a 450 in the fall, the chances are you won't get one until June of next year. Why Honda does this, I don't know, but every other dealer that anounces a new quad ussally is available with-in a couple of months. I guess Honda believes there loyalist will wait, but I'm seeing a lot of them getting impatient and getting other makes. I do hope Honda comes out with a new sport quad, but I feel there missing out. All I have to do is go to my Honda dealer and see the 400ex's sitting, while the Z's, Pred., Raptor, KFX700, and now the YFZ450 leaving as fast as they arrive, to know the longer they wait, the harder to get there Honda loyalist back. Because all the makes now, make great and reliable atv's.

Honda should be making a new quad 3 years ago. When the Raptor came out. Oh well, It will eventually happen and when it does, I think we all will be talking about it. I am not putting any stock in it, but I do believe it will happen some day.
