Default 250x vs blaster

Now........back to the original question. They are both good bikes.the Blaster is a 2 stroke and the 250x is a four stroke. The 250x is a little larger bike than the Blaster so alot will depend on your height and weight as far as which one you choose. They are both good on the trails and for having an all around good time on.They are both relatively small cc so the performance potential is going to be somewhat limited. If you are not concerned with all out white knuckle speed.........either one will be good.Just pick the one you think fits you best.

One more thing, the 250x has reverse which is a plus in the woods.Hope this helps.

The blaster costs about 700 bucks less than the ex. With the money saved you can do some cool stuff to the blaster. The 2-stroke does take a little more work to keep it up but i think its good to learn those things as quick as you can. The ex does have reverse but both bikes are so light I doubt it matters much.

IM not sure what you guys are smoking if you think a stock 250ex is even close to being as fast as a stock blaster . Stop giving bad, wrong advice anyway. Yes blaster may be a little more maintenance than a 250ex but a blaster is one of the most reliable 2-stroke of them all . Theyve been making them for over 15 years and finally upgraded to hydraulic rear brakes. HOndaman you are full of it, my blaster withan fmf pipe was faster than my friends also slightly modded 300ex so a 250ex should be no problem. Everyone knows you need twice as much cc when comparing 2-strokes to 4's. Some people are just dont know what they are talking about.

READ THE ORIGINAL POST!!!!!!!!!We are comparing a Blaster to a 250x not a 250ex...........there is a difference.Maybe some of you are too young to even remember the 250x.

As some have already pointed out and as some can't seem to understand , a 250X and 250EX are two completely different atvs. The 250X is NOT an automatic while the 250EX is.
The 250X is similar to a 300EX and they are nice quads. My 16 year old son rides a beautiful '87 250X that still looks & runs like new.
While the Blaster can be a nice atv if taken care of I would recommend the 250X if it's in decent shape. I've seen 250Xs that were beat with cracked frames and I've seen Blasters ridng around with pieces falling off of them. It all depends on how they were cared for.
Since you're looking at used atvs they can be worlds apart in their condition. I ride a 2 stroke and they can last a good long while if taken care of but they can also be a piece of crap if the owner didn't care for it properly. Ride them both and go from there.

go with the 250x not ex. it is just an older model of the 300ex which is much faster stock .v. stock blaster take it freom me i have blaster and a 300ex both stock and my 300ex will smoke my blaster. this blaster is used but was in the hands of perfectionists. so it is in very good shape.

Go with the 250x it is a much better quad

thanks,
Jake

It is a 250x not a 250EX...and yes a 250x vs Blaster stock and stock the 250 would win..and there is no way a Blaster with a pipe can beat a 300EX that was slightly modded..it couldnt even beat it stock..dont get a Blaster if you go to trail ride you always have to keep the revs up..also the 250x is better and it has reverse..and did you ever notice how many used Blasters are for sale..thats because they arent very good..so get the 250x..they are good and hard to find..because they are a lot better than a Blaster in every way..
ITS NOT A 250EX...ITS A 250X
