"a Blaster with a complete 240 kit will slay the most modded 250x or 300EX of all time"
Try riding Tavis Spaders old 250x with a 250X engine bottom married to a 350 X cylinder and head (serious structural engine mods). This bike won more than a few National TT championships. Not many quads even today will touch that old TC built jewel which still sneaks out on the occasional flat track and ice race up in NYS.
"show me a 250X that can run over 65 mph."
My 250X/350 x conversions could run 90 mph if I ever wanted to gear them that way.
Be carefull with the absolutes - they have a way of evaporating.....

I would put my 250X up against any blaster or slightly modded 300EX and put money on it. It has been beat again and again but she keeps going. I am setup for trail riding with my 12T front. The 250X is a tough machine and the motor outlasted the quad that it had around it. Now it is at home in a 230Quadsport frame and that is the only problem with my quad. The motor never lets me down but the chassis is forever breaking something or throwing chains.

If I put a yz490 in my blaster it would smoke any 250x with a 350x head. Using the stock cylinder I don't think that any 250x could beat a 240 blaster. Peltrex you should be beating 400ex's on your blaster with that vito's piston. I've heard stories that a blaster with a pipe, reeds, filter, and shaved heads beating 400's.

All you people who are older than 12 and not girls need to get a real bike and quit thinking you know how to ride cuz you mastered a 12 hp bike, and beating your dad in a race doesnt mean the bike you were on is faster or better, he probably let you win because he wanted to put a smile on your face. 2-strokes are only a " problem" if you are incompetent.

Except that you did limit the comparison to any "modded out 250x motor ever built......" which that old Travis Spader bike qualifies as. And you would be surprised just what that 416 will beat still today. The current owner claims it was the first 4 stroke to ever win a National open class pro race.
