hey sandman what compression is alex,s honda ?the reason i ask is because i have been running a half and half mix of premium and 110 octane race fuel on cathys and we thought it was helping performance but when we switched this weekend back to straight premium she gained at least one quad length maybe two up comp.we ran her honda against my baja and she was able to beat me for the first time so it did make a difference.cathys compression is 11:1 so if alex,s is the same or lower i would experiment to make sure you are not running too high of an octane level.we also switched the raptor back to straight premium and it picked up probably two quad lengths in performance which is strange because with the smaller jets i was running before, the race fuel was better i guess the larger mains like the premium better than the race fuel that doesnt seem logical but the performance difference was hard to deny.

Sand man the 465 is the 89mm stroked to 74, your new crank. We have the bottom end just need the 440 jug. I went to coos bay yesterday, My wifes 400ex would pull on the stoker from the start on the flat,but on a hill the stroker kicked ***. I have never been happier with any quad or motor work. The 416 stroked was eating piped crapters up boxcar.

so do you guys know the bore of the 465?
Trinity and some of the others stroke a 440 to get to 465. I have the 92mm bore, not stroked 465 from Sparks. A true 440 bore is 89.5.

i was just pointing out that it doesn't appear most know what a 440 is or a 465 or what are those monsters 515. anyways i like to be able to read these threads and get useful info, this time i have found a lot of not so good info. dune we run the same piston compression as you. the snowmoblie guys told me about to high of octane last year, for all out racing the pump stuff is better if you don't get detonation. told me to get a small amount of each and throw a match on each and you would see the how the burn rate is different. but for keeping the engine cool for duning the higher is better.

so do you guys know the bore of the 465? the 415-16 stroked is a 440, so if i wasn't asleep in math class that makes for a difference of what 25? so do you see anything that looks the same here? 440 stroked- 25 for the stroke does that add up to 465? it would be better to buy a newer quad engine combo but hey if the rider fits the quad , it might be worth the price.
your confusing me man!, i just got up its to early for math, plus its summer!!!!

so man up spend one of those dollars and call, how many days until i get to roost sand on you? still have a lot of stuff to polish but guess if it doesn't happen i could all ways talk a couple young honda riders into working on the shine of my ds[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

that stuff is for kids, i have some stuff that i shouldn't tell you about but it works better.
